Complete Admissions and Contract Documentation

Prior to your arrival, make sure all of your admissions and contract paperwork has been completed, submitted, and finalised. If any paperwork is missing, you won't be allowed to enter your room.

Your Arrival

All new students known as “Freshers” can arrive at Tommy on the first day when Orientation Week commences and it will give you time to settle into your room. If you are an international student and would like to arrive a day or 2 before the commencement of the Orientation Week because of your flights, please advise and send your flight details as an attachment to our Admissions team.

For arrival at Tommy outside office hours (before 8.00am and after 4.00pm), the Resident Advisor (RA) on duty will need to be called on the black phone outside the Administration Building (just follow the prompts). They will collect your Key Card and take you to your room.

What to Bring

For residents in a standard room, your room will come fully furnished with bedding and towel provided. It will be your responsibility to wash your linen. You are more than welcome to bring your own doona cover, pillowcase and any decorative items to make it your own during your stay.

Student Newsletter

Tommy More sends out a weekly newsletter. This keeps you informed of events taking place at the College. You must read it to ensure that you are aware of the events for the coming week. Please make sure that the email address listed in your resident profile on the resident portal is up to date. You should get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Orientation Week at Tommy

Orientation Week is a week long to assist you in getting adjusted to your new home away from home as a new resident.

Your first semester at Tommy More officially begins during Orientation Week, which features a number of informative workshops and activities to help you get ready for residential living and university life. It is important to engage fully in the activities and events because they are the best means of fostering lifelong connections and easing the adjustment to university life.
