Living on Campus

Are you thinking about living on campus but unsure about what it’s like? Living on campus brings many advantages for University students especially those who are new to Perth! Here are 5 unique things why you should consider living at St Thomas More College.

Making decisions - find support in the decisions you make, always!

Living on campus gives you a lot of independence and this new-found freedom is awesome but can often be quite daunting. College helps in the decision-making process by providing support all year round. Whether it is emotional, academic or social support, we are here for you. Also, having people around you who are going through the same thing can be comforting and can allow for you to feel at ease when faced with multiple decisions, together.

O’Week - A week dedicated to you!

Who wouldn’t want to join in on a week that is all about you! We can help you find a balance

Assignments, tutorials, lectures, social life, sport, music, gaming, meal prep, rent, bills, shopping - it sounds like a lot doesn’t it? Tommy helps to take the stress out of balancing aspects of life. Our students who are in the second year or above on the Student Club and as Resident Advisors help arrange social events and sports so you don’t have to - all you have to do is make yourself available if you choose to attend.

They are also happy to help schedule your busy life with you if you are unsure about how to find a balance. Resources at College are way easier to obtain as we want you to succeed at Tommy!

Making friends is easier - take the time to meet your roommates and hallmates.

Sometimes making friends can be challenging. At Tommy, we provide you with the opportunity to make friends easily. Your friends are just a doorstep away or down the hall in the study room or in the dining hall or in a common room. It's fantastic to have peers as neighbours and Resident Advisors that care about you should you ever fall ill or feel homesick as they get you. One of Tommy’s most unique features is that all of our rooms are single - you are still able to have your own space when in need of some downtime. The rooms are ready for you to add your own unique flare, to make it your new home away from home.

College pays particular attention to your safety.

Your safety is of huge concern to us and we continue to make our grounds as safe as possible with regular upgrades and maintenance. Our security gates surround our grounds and RFID access cards only allow residents and staff to enter. This gives you peace of mind and control over who enters our College.
