Celebrating Sport, Service and Student Life at St Thomas More College

At St Thomas More College (STMC), university life is about more than just having a place to stay. It’s about building friendships, discovering new interests and being part of a community. From competing on the sporting field to contributing to the wider community, our residents have opportunities to develop new skills, challenge themselves and make a difference throughout their time at College.

Our annual Brownlow Dinner and Outreach Dinner provided an opportunity to celebrate these experiences, recognise the achievements of our residents and reflect on the values that help shape our College community.

Celebrating Sporting Achievements at the Brownlow Dinner

The Brownlow Dinner recognised the sporting achievements of our residents throughout the year, celebrating the dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship that have shaped another memorable year of intercollege sport.

From individual accomplishments to team successes, our residents have demonstrated commitment, resilience and a strong sense of camaraderie across their sporting competitions. The evening was an opportunity to acknowledge their hard work, celebrate their achievements and recognise the people who contribute to the College's sporting culture.

Sport at St Thomas More College is about more than winning. It brings residents together, strengthens friendships across year groups and encourages them to challenge themselves, support their teammates and take pride in representing their College.

Congratulations to all our residents on their sporting achievements this year!

Celebrating Community Impact at the Outreach Dinner

While sport brings our residents together through competition, our outreach programs provide opportunities to connect with the wider community through service, compassion and a commitment to helping others.

The Outreach Dinner celebrated the achievements of our outreach initiatives over the past year and recognised the contributions our residents have made to the communities around them.

Through their involvement in outreach activities and fundraising initiatives, residents are encouraged to look beyond their immediate College environment, engage with different communities and consider how they can make a positive difference in the lives of others.

At Tommy More, we believe outreach is an important part of the residential college experience. It is not simply about giving back, but also about developing a sense of responsibility, building meaningful connections and putting shared values into action.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our outreach programs and contributed to their success throughout the year.

More Than a Degree

For students choosing university accommodation in Perth, the residential college experience can offer much more than a place to live while studying at UWA or another Perth university. It provides opportunities to discover new interests, develop leadership skills, participate in extracurricular activities and become part of a supportive community.

At St Thomas More College, academic support, student wellbeing, sporting competitions, social events and outreach initiatives all contribute to a well-rounded university experience.

Our Brownlow and Outreach Dinners celebrate two different aspects of College life, but both reflect the same spirit: residents who challenge themselves, support one another and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Congratulations to all our residents on a fantastic year, and thank you to everyone who has helped make it such a memorable one.
