Celebrating 70 Years

At St Thomas More College, we recently marked a major milestone — our 70th Anniversary Formal Dinner, held right here at college with our current residents and staff. The evening was a beautiful celebration of college life, community spirit, and the lasting legacy of Tommy over the past seven decades.
Held at our Piazza under the canopy, the setting was nothing short of magical. The space came to life with beautiful Tommy-coloured streamers and the sound of laughter and connection. Before the festivities began, residents gathered on the Quad to form a giant '70' — a fun and symbolic tribute to the College’s seven-decade journey. It brought residents together to honour the vibrant culture that continues to define life at Tommy. From thoughtful speeches and live music to a delicious dinner prepared by our catering team, the night offered the perfect balance of reflection, celebration, and fun.
A Legacy Worth Celebrating
Over the past 70 years, St Thomas More College has grown into more than just a place to live — it’s a home where friendships are formed, minds are challenged, and memories are made. This dinner was more than an event. It was a tribute to everything that makes the Tommy experience unique and unforgettable.
But the celebrations aren’t over yet!
We’re thrilled to be hosting our second 70th Anniversary Celebration for our Alumni on Friday, 14 November 2025, where past residents will return to Tommy More to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the incredible history and future of our College. It's set to be a spectacular evening of stories, reunions, and gratitude — and we simply can’t wait to welcome our alumni back to where it all began.
