Student Life |
|
The College hosts six formal dinners each year, including the International Formal Dinner, where our overseas students organise a night of cultural festivities as part of a themed night, allowing students the opportunity to use their imaginative and artistic talents to the full. St Thomas More College also boasts an energetic and active Student Club, whose committee are charged with organising social events throughout the year. These include an action-packed orientation programme for our new arrivals, a river cruise along the scenic Swan River and an annual Ball. Those interested in sport have the opportunity to represent the College in a variety of inter-college competitions, and healthy rivalry is alive and well on the tennis courts, the athletics tracks, and the football ovals, to name only a few. The College is also ideally placed, just moments from the University Recreation Centre, which offers an extensive range of facilities, along with a full timetable of fitness classes, and access to a wide variety of sports clubs and activities. Our close proximity to the city centre allows our residents to make the most of Perth’s exciting night life; Fremantle offers an artistic alternative, just a few minutes drive away, and the beaches up and down the local coast line allow our residents to make the most of our glorious West Australian climate. Most students stay with us for a couple of years, but no matter how long or short your stay, we promise that you will leave St Thomas More College with a host of great memories, and a company of life-long friends. |
