Our Faith

St Thomas More College is a Catholic foundation, based on the teachings of the Church. We aim to help develop men and women who'll go out into the wider community as active Christians, helping their fellow man and contributing positively to our society.

That doesn't mean you have to be a Catholic to attend the College; we welcome students from a diverse range of faiths. It does, however, mean that we expect all our residents to be comfortable living lives which are compatible with Catholic values and doctrine, and that they are comfortable with the College's emphasis on Community Mass each Sunday evening during term time.We have a strong Community Service ethos and we ask each of our residents to commit to at least fifteen hours of community service each semester.

We freely admit our standards are not necessarily those of the outside world, and encourage prospective students to consider their own attitude towards the founding principles of the College before submitting an application.
