Facilities

Library

The College has a library with a wide selection of general and resource books. Students may borrow books or simply use the quiet reading area to read.

The library has a photocopier for student use.

Computers

The Computer Room at St Thomas More College has multiple Pentium4 computers running Windows XP Professional . These computers provide up to date software for students to do their assignments or access class material from the internet.

A laser printer is also available enabling students to present high quality reports. Internet and intranet access is available from the Computer Room, as well as from all student rooms throughout the College.

All the computers at the College come with 24 hour connection to the internet and high speed access to the Universities around Perth.

The College employs two Computer Support Staff who attend to the Computer Room to ensure that the computer facilities are operating smoothly.

Common Rooms

The College has two Common Rooms for leisure activities.

The Junior Common Room (JCR) is equipped with a full billiards-size pool table and a table tennis table. The JCR also has a TV room, equipped with a large rear-projection Stereo-TV, Foxtel, a video player, and a stereo for use by the students to listen to popular music on CD or radio.

The Senior Common Room (SCR) is for those students in their third year or over 21 years old.  It also boasts Foxtel, and limited kitchen facilities.

Sporting Facilities

St Thomas More College has a tennis court with basketball markings.

There is a grassed area suitable for sports, the Front Quad. The Front Quad has goals set up at each end, and is very popular for nightly soccer games. Ample space is available for casual outdoor games like football and soccer.

The Back Quad is for quiet relaxation, reading under a shady tree, or just enjoying the gardens.


Laundry

The College provides a fully equipped laundry with coin operated automatic washing machines and dryers. Instructions for use are provided near each machine. There are two secure areas for drying clothes, as well as ironing facilities.

Mail

Mail is delivered to the students via the College. Stamps are sold at the office; outgoing mail can also be posted there.
